S&P Global Ratings - Commercial The Role: Senior Director, Private Markets The Team: The S&P Global Commercial Team is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes for over 2,000 of the largest companies in the U.S. & Canada. Responsibilities: · This role will develop and implement sales strategies across S&P’s Private Markets business, as well as coach sales teammates to apply these strategies to their accounts. · Manage Tier 1 Private Equity Relationships, ensure best-in-class customer service to ensure client retention, and identify upsell opportunities. · Build out our Private Credit relationships, through both existing products and innovating new areas of which we can support our clients. · Provide high-touch client service to the intermediary (primarily banking) community to communicate S&P’s value proposition and market positioning. · Leverage communication and negotiation skills to gain user acceptance and optimize revenue. · Deliver insights on both existing product functionality / use cases as well as explore new product opportunities. · Track customer & industry developments / trends and respond accordingly. Provide the pulse of the market to senior management. · Understand customer problems and identify ways to help clients address them. What We’re Looking For: · Strong presentation, communication, multitasking, and customer service skills · Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams. · Proved record of maintaining strong relationships with Alternative Asset Managers, addressing their needs, and optimizing the customer experience. · Exceptional skills in listening to clients, articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner. · Demonstrate sound ability to analyze client information quickly, respond logically, and use data to influence client purchase decisions. Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred) · 10+ years of sales experience Preferred Qualifications: · Proven track record of sales success. · Knowledge of debt capital markets. · Knowledge of Private Equity & Private Credit · Knowledge of Sustainable Finance/Environmental, Social & Governance. Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $107,100 to $212,975. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
