Drilling & Completions Site Safety Representative

Our valued client is seeking a <b>Drilling and Completions Site Safety Representative.</b><br> <br> <b>Description:</b><br> The role of the <b>Drilling and Completions Site Safety Representative </b>is to aid in the development of generic and site-specific emergency response plans and perform daily HSE inspections and Permit to Work quality checks. This person will also be responsible for supporting the implementation of Preventative Safety Observations (PSO) as well as perform PSOs on worksite. This position is field based. <br> <br> <b>Responsibilities: </b><ul><li>Be familiar with all standards, norms and policies related to safety and environment</li><li>Develop and participate in ERP drills</li><li>Monitor the Permit to Work (PtW) process in Drilling and Completions (D&C)</li><li>Participate in Job Safety Analysis</li><li>Perform daily HSE inspections and PtW quality checks</li><li>Monitor asset environmental impact and mitigation actions</li><li>Collect safety/environmental lessons learned and promote sharing and implementation of best practices</li><li>Perform safety compliance and performance evaluations of proposals submitted for competitive bidding processes.</li><li>Support contracted vendors by generating Performance Improvements Plans (PIP) or Managements of Change (MOC) to achieve better safety compliance to meet company requirements.</li><li>Execute bridging documents with safety-critical vendors to address any gaps in vendor safety management systems to achieve compliance to meet company requirements.</li><li>Work closely with the corporate S&E team on new policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.</li><li>Support front-line supervisors with internal incident reporting using Synergi Life.</li><li>Support front-line supervisors with reportable thresholds guidelines for external reporting of incidents or spills.</li><li>Participate in on-site incident investigations for serious incidents including high-potential near-misses, injuries, property damage, environmental releases, etc.</li><li>Perform field audits of D&C operations and their vendors.</li><li>Issue safety alerts and lessons learned notices internally</li><li>Share relevant industry safety information with the D&C department and the company's organization about changes to safety regulations or lessons learned on serious incidents.</li></ul><br> <b>Qualifications:</b><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of oil & gas experience in safety-related positions or increasing scope and responsibility; D&C experience would be considered an asset</li><li>Strong preference for those with a CRSP designation</li><li>Familiarity with D&C operations</li><li>Strong understanding of Alberta OH&S Act, Regulations and Code.</li></ul><br> <b>Competencies and Abilities: </b><ul><li>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>ISNetworld</li><li>Incident investigation skills</li><li>Knowledge of Synergi Life and PowerBI</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills that can be applied to coaching front line workers</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Skilled at working in a highly collaborative manner with engineers</li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
