Staff Accountant

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant to support our Northwest as well as East operations. The position has a broad scope therefore the successful candidate will be required to be based in Houston, TX or Lafayette, LA. Local candidates preferred as there is no relocation assistance or per diem provided. <br><br>Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required <br><br><b>Responsibilities entail but not limited to:</b> <br><ul><li> Ensure that all accounting entries (accruals, adjustment, etc) required to resolve intercompany outages are prepared accurately and in line with deadlines </li><li> Resolve disputes and maintaining detailed documentation regarding progress and communicating any unresolved issues to the Corporate Accounting Manager </li><li> Supporting the entire Corporate Accounting team with providing pertinent information to Finance VPs in a customer oriented manner </li><li> Assisting in audit requests with internal and external audit teams </li><li> Communicate effectively, promptly and professionally with internal and external parties </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qualifications: </b><br><ul><li> Require a minimum of 3 years' experience in finance or accounting including experience with intercompany transactions </li><li> Require experience with Oracle (Voyager EBS) or other comparable system </li><li> Advanced Excel skills is required </li><li> Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or management (preferred) </li></ul><br><br><b> Personal attributes: </b><br><ul><li> Develop workable solutions to problems </li><li> Continuously adapt to changing business needs </li><li> Maintain a positive 'can do' attitude and a willingness to take on responsibility </li><li> Ability to exercise professional judgment, speaking up and challenging where necessary </li><li> Work to deadlines and to be self-reliant with excellent time management and organizational skills </li><li> Establish excellent working relationships across the organization </li><li> Strong ethical values and communicates with openness and honesty </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
