This is an incredible opportunity to join an inclusive and collaborative team in Woking, Surrey. This is a 10-month contract covering a secondment and a hybrid working role, with a minimum of 20% of contracted hours collaborating in-person with colleagues in Woking, with the balance being worked from home. Salary is £40,739</p><p> </p><p>As a Senior Events and Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive annual programme of tailored events designed to engage and retain the charity's high-value supporters.</p><p> </p><p>In your first few weeks in this Senior Events and Engagement Manager role, you can expect to:</p><ul><li>Direct wider external engagement events, including creating new income-generating fundraising events and supporting cross-organisational event activity, for example, legacy events</li><li>Shape and drive the strategic planning, development and design of a portfolio of events, both bespoke and large scale</li><li>Develop new event concepts and products to meet the ambition of the organisation's new strategy</li><li>Line manage, develop and coach 2FTE Special Events Project Managers.</li></ul><p> </p><p>To apply for this Events and Engagement Manager role, you will need relevant experience with a high-value/philanthropic audience and experience developing events. You will also require the following:</p><p> </p><ul><li>In-depth understanding of the principles of event management, with experience delivering a range of events, ideally within the not-for-profit sector</li><li>Relevant experience working with an audience or philanthropic audience</li><li>Experience in delivering high-value events to senior individuals</li><li>The ability to deliver an ambitious message about the climate crisis whilst bringing a creative flair to the role</li><li>Understanding of the legal requirements around GDPR.</li></ul><p> </p><p>If you're looking to make a positive impact and create change, you will be rewarded with an excellent contract rate for your inclusive and committed approach.</p><p> </p><p><strong>To apply please send your CV to Tanya White at Charity People.
