QA Welding Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Plc. has an opportunity for a position QA Welding Engineer for its Rejuvenation Project in Brunei Darussalam. Successful applicants will be responsible for the leadership, management, supervision and guidance of the day-to-day activities for delivery of the Quality Management scope. This scope will cover deliverables, planning, option selection and economic reviews. This is an end-to-end rejuvenation scope and as such will involve interfacing with other disciplines, planning, construction, procurement, and client operations. <br><br>Job Description:<br><br>&bull; Commitment to and promotion of Wood's values and ensuring the realisation of Company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures.<br>&bull; Reporting to QAQC Manager: the main functions of the role is to ensure that Welding Procedure Specification and Repair Procedure are implemented in the project as per BSP-12-S.601 & related Shell DEP and International Code and Standard.<br>&bull; Develops welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment to problems involving fabrication of metals, utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and engineering principles.<br>&bull; Prepares technical reports as result of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations.<br>&bull; Establishes welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to client specifications.<br>&bull; Evaluates new developments in welding field for possible application to current welding problems or production processes.<br>&bull; Directs and coordinates technical personnel in performing inspections.<br>&bull; Contacts personnel of other agencies, engineering personnel, or clients to exchange ideas, information, or offer technical advice concerning welding matters.<br>&bull; Perform experimental welding to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials.<br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Personal Requirements:<br><br>&bull; A demonstrable commitment to safety in the workplace; leading by example.<br>&bull; Attention to detail, commitment to a
