Our schools look for Graduates who are passionate about working with young people and have gained some form of recent experience with young people. You may have gained this experience through a number of avenues such as tutoring, voluntary school work, overseas teaching… As a Graduate TA you will gain real hands on experience of working in a secondary school. You will usually be based within the schools learning support department where you will work closely with students with Special Education Needs. You will be working as part of a team of graduates who are all aspiring teachers.
