Chenega Professional and Technical Services, LLC., a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Section 508 Analyst to be responsible for ensuring that all information and communications technology (ICT) developed, procured, maintained, or used by the organization is accessible to people with disabilities in accordance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Section 508 Analyst ensures that Program and Field Office Section 508 Points of Contact (POCs) continue to meet Office of Management and Budget (OMB) compliance standards in procurement solicitations; ICT lifecycle activities; testing and validation of conformance claims; training for general users and for POCs at sites, laboratories, and plants; tracking complaints; and review of current documents, webpages, and multimedia presentations or files. Maintain the Section 508 email account to answer questions, provide guidance, track issues or log complaints, maintain POC contact lists, and keep the customer generally abreast of issues affecting compliance with 508 regulations. Provide subject matter expertise and advice on accessibility tools available in document creation such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel. Attend meetings on Section 508 issues, such as the annual Interagency Accessibility Forum and quarterly meetings of the Section 508 Accessibility Program Managers. Attend relevant webinars and conferences announced or provided by the Access Board to keep abreast of developments in the Section 508 community. Other duties as assigned Qualifications A minimum of 5 years work experience. BA/BS in relevant fields or disciplines Ability to obtain and maintain TS/ DOE Q Clearance Strong understanding of Section 508 standards and how to apply them to ICT products. Familiarity with assistive technologies and how they are used by people with disabilities is a plus.
