This is a school that puts people first. The leadership team believe that great things happen when a community feels such a sense of "togetherness" that it makes the tough days seem bearable, the good days seem amazing and the impossible seem achievable. At this school the overriding aim is for everyone to feel part of the same family and a sense that they are always there for each other. This is the basis for the success and the reason why they come to work every day.

The school vision is "Success for Everyone" and the staff live by this. They believe that everyone can achieve far more than they think they can when people work together- you can never be too ambitious!! Success for one person will look different to success for another but both are equally important. This is why this is such an inclusive school; everyone is different, but everyone is equally deserving of success. This is also reflected in their celebration of diversity. This school is a very mixed family and proudly so. They have learned that this brings us great things- tolerance, understanding, celebration of differences. The expectations at this school are extremely high for everyone in the community.

This is a very busy school. They work at a great pace and have an extremely motivated and loyal staff. Many of them have been at the school for many years. This is a real strength because students get great continuity and feel that the staff are always there for them. The school's ambitions are never satisfied and they love a challenge. This motivation keeps them going through the tough times and reminds the staff that, for our students, they always want more. This ambition is one of the reasons why the curriculum is so broad and the opportunities so wide.

The successful applicant should be an experienced Science Teacher and be confident teaching all science subjects to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. There is a 6th form at this school so a subject specialist who can teach A-Level would be favourable.

To apply for this role please send your cv to [email protected] as soon as possible.
