<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting HSE Coordinator to join our team in Hides/Angore area of Papua New Guinea on a rotational schedule of 28 days On / 28 days Off. Functionally reporting to the In-Country SHES Manager, and reporting to the Senior Construction Superintendents at a project level, the HSE Coordinator will manage the HSE requirements on site and ensure compliance is followed and in line with Wood's policies and procedures. <br><br>This position focuses on ongoing delivery of Wood Core Values and any safety related programs, providing resolution to Safety issues and monitors integration of health and safety programmes including hazard and risk identification, incident reporting and investigation, employee health and well-being, environmental hygiene, and organisational transformation. Manage a team of safety advisors to deliver the best performance. <br><br><b>Key responsibilities</b> <br><ul><li> Conduct HSE risk assessments, and maintain the HSE risk register, and corrective action tracker </li><li> Develop and conduct inductions, toolbox talks and pre-start meetings </li><li> Provide technical HSE input and support to the project management team </li><li> Monitor, review, and update site HSE management plans and key supporting documentation </li><li> Assist with ensuring changes in the execution of documented processes are managed in accordance with the Project Change Management Process and that all changes are authorized prior to execution </li><li> Be a champion in the delivery of all Wood safety behaviours and programs </li><li> Investigate all incidents and report into Client and Wood Management systems </li><li> Be proactive in stopping work in situations of unsafe task execution </li><li> Facilitate construction safety reviews HAZIDS, ENVIDS </li><li> Proactively mentor and develop capabilities of a 'project dedicated' team of Safety Advisors </li><li> Conduct and document workplace inspections (Management Walkthroughs) monitor Safety Advisor inspections </li><li> Responsible for day-to-day liaison with the Client Security Lead in relation to security matters </li><li> Actively facilitate in Safety Steering committee at site level </li><li> Monitor Sub-Contractor activities, steward Stakeholder interfaces and ensure compliance with all SHES reporting requirements </li><li> Mentor Sub-Contractors in the conduct of incident response and investigation </li><li> Review investigation reports for acceptability in accordance with Wood and Client Standards </li><li> Implement and maintain formal competency assurance checks and arrangements to ensure the capability of both Wood and sub- contractor individuals on site </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Degree / Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or similar Discipline </li><li> Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desired) </li><li> Taproot or ICAM trained (desired) </li><li> 10+ years HSE experience within the Oil and Gas or similar industry </li><li> 8+ years minimum supervisory experience </li><li> Experience working in PNG (preferred not essential) </li><li> Previous site-based experience is essential </li><li> Strong technical skills in HSE management and emergency responses </li><li> Demonstrable experience in investigation of complex incidents and compilation of incident reports </li><li> Ability to drive increased engagement both within your team and the wider business </li></ul><br> If you're an experienced Senior HSE Coordinator, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
