The Production Engineering Instructor is responsible for coordinating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to update literature and materials to be used in training programs (videos, technical work instruction, etc.) and keeps up-to-date, and develops exercises to enhance learning objectives to account for new capabilities or changes in business objectives. <br><br><b> Duties & Responsibilities seeks areas for improvement </li></ul><br> OPERATIONS <br><ul><li> Responsible for delivery of training, technical competency development, and career progression requirements: <ul><li> Coordinate all talent management solutions including training material, external and internal communication, etc. for the Digital Solutions team </li><li> Provide training support for all clients including petroleum/production engineering for oil and gas production, geothermal energy, and carbon capture in subsurface reservoirs </li><li> Assist with developing and delivering a training program to solve customers' challenges for digital transformation in the drilling and production domain </li></ul></li><li> Proficiency in all aspects of the technical training development and delivery, and managing the technical competency development activities, but not limited to: <ul><li> Ensure technical training documentation is relevant and up to date </li><li> Create, maintain, and sustain Training & Competency documentation standards </li><li> Work with the Global Technical Development, Infrastructure Team, and other Product Lines' Training and Competency Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Instructional Designers </li></ul></li><li> Develop and deliver petroleum engineering and production optimization training including: <ul><li> Digital oil field and production operations </li><li> Performing production analysis and optimizing production under surface and reservoir constraints </li><li> Performing material balance calculations, pressure transient analysis, and production analysis </li><li> Building IPR based on Well productivity, and determining operating point based on the tubing performance curve </li><li> Generating model inputs necessary for reservoir simulation such as VLP curve, surface or bottom hole pressure constraints </li><li> Performing nodal analysis, tubing lift calculations, and tubing lift evaluation without supervision </li><li> Designing, analyzing, and optimizing artificial lift systems including but not limited to RRL, gas lift, ESP, PCP, jet pump, etc. </li><li> Identifying production issues caused by near wellbore issues e.g., skin or permeability degradation, sand production, wellbore issues e.g. liquid loading, hydrates, paraffin, and asphaltenes and recommend solutions to assure optimal flow </li><li> Building black oil, extended black oil, compositional, EOR and thermal models for well and surface network </li><li> Performing routine QA/QC on all production and completion data relevant to building production models </li><li> Evaluating surface production facilities' impact on short-term, mid-term, and long-term field performance by building surface network models incorporating wells, pipelines, pumps, separators, and delivery nodes </li><li> Defining forecast scenarios incorporating reservoir deliverability constraints, flow capacity, processing capacity, and economic constraints and performing surface network optimization under production constraints, delivery requirements, lift gas availability, injection water availability or produced liquid handling to identify bottlenecks and flow issues impacting performance </li><li> Performing reliability and failure analysis of well and surface network under supervision to establish root cause analysis of failure and suggest mitigation techniques for future operations </li><li> Using Field Services Management protocols to create, modify, monitor, and close activities </li><li> Generate and Q/C post jobs reports </li><li> Configuring and troubleshooting a SCADA system incorporating RTU, and gauges. Understanding configuration requirements and communication protocols necessary to acquire data from the field. Understanding data flow between SCADA and production optimization platform to monitor real-time production operations </li><li> Using advanced analytics/machine learning techniques for the identification of equipment failure and operations optimization </li><li> Leveraging multi-disciplinary teams to deliver Integrated Asset Management with collaboration with reservoir, field operations, real-time operators, and facilities operations. </li><li> Using advanced fluid flow analysis to model advanced processes such as flow assurance, thermo-dynamic impact, transient flow behavior etc. </li></ul></li><li> Adhere to Training department policies and procedures. work with the Training and Competency Manager to deliver training projects- whether large region, or impact ensuring that all milestones of budget and timeline are met in line with project objectives </li><li> Facilitate pre- and post-training client sessions that determine needs/challenges, address client questions, manage expectations and resolve concerns to exceed clients' expectations and meet internal quality, time, and budget constraints </li><li> Lead, mentor, and train team members for the effective development of learning and competence standards, content improvement, and domain development </li><li> Remain current on industry regulations, developments, and the technical community.
