<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><strong>Executive Assistant to CEO</strong></p><p><strong>akt</strong></p><p><strong>London/Hybrid (2 days in the London office)</strong></p><p><strong>Full time, Permanent, 35 hours per week (with flexible working) </strong></p><p><strong>Salary up to £34,000</strong></p><p> </p><p>Charity People are proud to be partnering with akt, a charity which provides safe homes and better futures for lgbtq+ young people, to help bring on board an Executive Assistant to the CEO.</p><p> </p><p>The charity is the UK's national LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness charity which provides safe homes, mentoring and support to young people. Currently 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBTQ and 77% cite abuse and rejection by their families as their primary reason for seeking help. Akt ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. They support 2,000+ young people each year with service centres in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Bristol. In 2012, akt opened the UK's first emergency safe house for LGBTQ+ people.</p><p> </p><p>The EA will provide administrative support to the Chief Executive (CEO) and Trustees and will work alongside the CEO on specific long and time limited internal and external focused projects.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>You will provide 1:1 administrative support to the CEO and manage the CEO's diary, expenses, UK travel, accommodation and itineraries</li><li>You will support the Deputy CEO and Board of Trustees with administration duties, as agreed with the CEO</li><li>You will coordinate and administer Board meetings for Trustees and Board sub-committees and support the Chair</li><li>You will take on additional project-based work</li></ul><p> </p><p>The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar administrative role supporting senior staff and experience handling confidential information. You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills. You will have an energy and enthusiasm to maximise the use of technology with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple products.
