Support Services Accountant

<p>This role is responsible for the provision of Financial Support to the Aberdeen Support Functions (Enterprise Supply Chain Solutions (ESCS), HSE&amp;A, IT) ensuring a financially controlled environment.<br />It is responsible primarily for Logistics and the integrity of associated account balances, their timely analysis and reconciliation.<br /><br />JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /><br />Safety - Conducts all activities in a safe and effective manner and raises safety and environmental issues immediately and in line with corporate policy<br />Leadership - Undertakes the role in line with corporate policy and demonstrates behaviours in line with values at all times. Demonstrates a commitment to the spirit of such processes.<br /><br />Main Area - Logistics:<br /><br />*Responsible for the monitoring and reporting on +/- ?35MM of Logistic expenditure balances <br />*Responsible for maintaining procedures for allocation of logistics costs aligned to what is generally considered good practice in the industry.<br />*Responsible for undertaking Allocation of Logistics Costs - PSV Pool, Helicopter Pool, Shore base<br />*Ensuring Logistics is governed within a financially controlled environment <br />*Coordinate and support the creation of all budgets involving ESCS Logistics.<br />*Liaise with Logistics Team members to produce combined monthly Logistics KPI report<br />*Preparation and Issuance of Logistics Monthly Management Reports, Outlooks and Accrual information.<br />*Preparation of any 3rd Party Invoices for any shared services<br />*There is an opportunity to develop the use of systems to automate and improve for the processes and reports in this area.<br />*Assist in the maintaining the Accounts Receivable Register for logistics related invoices. <br />*Joint Venture and Contract Audit Support<br /><br />Other Areas<br />*Contracting process - assistance and review as required<br />*Good Receipts/Invoice Receipts (GR/IR) account reconciliation, maintenance and clearing as required<br />*Support for other Support Functions as direct by the Support Services Accounting Team Lead<br />*Provide cover for other team members<br />*IT Business Partner - forecasting, budgeting, and reporting<br /><br /><br />QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING: <br />* Degree Qualified <br />* Part / Qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA) desirable<br /><br />KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:<br />* Preferably experience in the oil industry<br />* Joint Venture accounting and/or Logistics background<br />* Good communication skills (both interpersonal and written)<br />* Experience with SAP preferred, Microsoft office Excel (intermediate/advanced)</p>
