¾nefits Analyst (Minneapolis/Hybrid Preferred)

¾NEFITS ANALYST: General Mills is seeking a Benefits Analyst who will provide compliance, technical, and administrative support for the Company’s defined benefit and retiree health plans. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance and governance for General Mills’ defined benefit and retiree health plans and programs in the United States and Canada. Maintain an understanding and application of plan rules and regulations, policies, and practices related to General Mills’ benefits administration. Provide day-to-day operational support and subject matter expertise to Benefit Service Centers, vendors, and plan participants. Respond to escalated customer service issues and interact with employees, retirees, managers, HR, and vendors to provide explanations and resolution in a timely manner. Execute daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual processes. Ensure system and data accuracy. Perform maintenance and audits related to benefits administration. Perform user acceptance testing of benefits administration and HR systems. Develop documentation and training to support system or processing changes. Bring new thinking and innovation to processes and operations. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred 2 years of benefit experience preferred Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills: Speaking with customers/employees Group presentations Writing benefit communications Effective customer service skills including handling issues with care, empathy, and good judgement Strong technical skills and aptitude Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Excel, required Aptitude for learning new systems Detail oriented Demonstrated prioritization skills and ability to meet tight deadlines Agility (quick to change priorities/focus if needed) Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment CONSIDERATIONS: Strong preference for role to be hybrid Minneapolis/Remote COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
