Consumer Health: Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals. The Consumer EAME Centre of Excellence (COE), as part of the worldwide Global Services group, has responsibility for providing accounting services, business analytics and reporting for all business units across the Consumer EAME region. Johnson & Johnson Consumer EAME has sales of over $4bn and sells approximately 100 distinct brands. Key to this role is to be a subject matter expert in General Accounting, specifically focusing on Royalties, Other Income & Expense, Leasing, Equity, Capital and Investment areas to provide financial support to Cluster Finance Managers, Local Finance, Regional Supply Chain, and business support teams and ensuring that all General Accounting operations related to the above processes are aligned across all Markets within Region, and in line with Johnson & Johnson Worldwide Procedures (WWP). This is a crucial role within the COE to ensure that key areas within General Accounting, Leasing, Royalties and Other Income & Expenses are accurately reflected for all affiliates across the EAME region This role will require strong business partnering skills and dedicated interaction with many project managers, Finance as well as non-Finance stakeholders, and other CoE departments and teams including our Global service teams in Manila In line with the above, this role is expected to provide financial expertise and customer support for many Ad-hoc projects and future roll-outs affecting key areas of General Accounting in scope In addition to project support, a strong focus on driving automation and standardization will be expected Compliance with Johnson and Johnson WorldWide Procedures (WWP) is essential This role will be responsible for the management of one Direct Report Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities in this role are to ensure accuracy and compliance of specific areas within the Financial Statements. The areas covered are often complex in nature and require process expertise, in-depth knowledge of WWP, and detailed understanding of each area. The right individual will be expected to: Provide financial expertise and business partnering to all affiliates across the EAME region in the area of General Accounting, Leasing, Royalties and OI&E management Be the main point of contact and key business partner for all above mentioned areas - this includes all related month end closing activities and ongoing processes and queries, onboarding projects etc Ensure Accounting accuracy for all areas in scope Identify, explore and deliver continual process improvements and participate in many ad-hoc projects Effectively cooperate with various CoE teams and functions on a daily basis Liaise on behalf of the CoE organization with Project Teams (e.g. STF) to ensure all accounting flows are correctly integrated. This requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of WWP Ensure compliance with internal (SOX) and external (PWC) audit requirements Provide detailed analysis and reconciliation of Other Income and Expense (OI&E) process management People Management: Manage one direct report (lead, support, encourage and develop on an ongoing basis; set clear goals and objectives) Foster an environment of teamwork, innovation and sharing of ideas Talent development and the ability to motivate and drive a team Compliance Statement: Ensure strong internal controls are in place in order to achieve “Adequate” internal and external audit ratings. Accurate and timely month-end reporting. Meet all corporate and regional deadlines. Scope of Role: This role is a key member of the General Accounting COE team so applicants must be collaborative in style, open to change and seek to improve the way things are achieved. The scope will touch on all areas of the financial statements in relation to the accounting across affiliates, so this is a responsible, broad-based opportunity for the right candidate Qualifications Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent, with strong post qualified financial experience Languages: English essential Other European languages desirable Experience Required: Proven track record of managing complex tasks across multi-affiliates Strong accounting and operations background Knowledge of SAP and strong Excel skills Familiarity with Johnson & Johnson worldwide procedures and practises Skills and Competencies Customer Focused; able to build effective partnerships with internal customers and work as part of a team. Challenge the status quo and have an active process improvements approach Work to tight deadlines Effective analytical and problem solving skills, plus full ownership for tasks and responsibilities. Effective organizational and time management skills.
