Cost Controller - Major Projects

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations. <br><br>We are currently seeking a Cost Controller to assist and support the Senior Cost Controller with the successful and timely delivery of high value Major Projects. You will be contributing to the delivery of upgrades to Dams, treatment plants and pipelines. This role is based in Brisbane CBD with the flexibility to work from home. <br><br>At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/visa for this region, in place. <br><br><b> Responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Develop ongoing relationships with project team members </li><li> Assist with end of month reporting including preparation of accruals and journals </li><li> Assist with Cost Control activities including maintaining the cost codes and other financial data in the financial system, actual costs review and reporting </li><li> Assist project teams with preparation of estimated-at-completion calculation of the project for Budget, Forecast and Actual </li><li> Work closely with the procurement and project teams, take responsibility for correct coding and receipting of supplier invoices in a timely manner </li><li> Observe and comply with all Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures, as well as comply with the behavioural expectations set out in company policies and procedures </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Experience working in a financial transactional or simiar role </li><li> Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in accounting, commerce, business studies, or in a related discipline </li><li> High level communication both verbal and written </li><li> Strong attention to detail </li><li> Experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel </li></ul><br> If you are an experienced Cost Controller, ready for your next project then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
