Based in our Aberdeen office this role is a unique chance to join a successful and dynamic team working in a vibrant environment. <br><br>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES <br><ul><li> Leads the development, management, and execution of compliance integration efforts relating to compliance issues for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. </li><li> Leads, monitors, and supervises internal compliance investigations and implementation of accompanying remediation and discipline. </li><li> Advises on areas of compliance vulnerability and risks through formal training as well as day-to-day advice and counsel. </li><li> Assists with the execution of compliance due diligence procedures relating to proposed third-party intermediaries, vendors, joint ventures, and M&A. </li><li> Monitors external developments in compliance, including laws/regulations, government investigations, and industry best practices. </li><li> Participates in compliance related projects, as needed. </li><li> Understands and complies with all safety rules and company policies of the business </li><li> Performs various other and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. </li></ul><br><br>SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE <br><ul><li> Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills. </li><li> Expert knowledge of antibribery and corruption regulations, including, but not limited to the FCPA and UKBA. </li><li> Significant knowledge of legal issues regarding conflicts of interest and antitrust matters. </li><li> Expert experience advising internal clients on gifts, travel, donations, and entertainment policies. </li><li> Expert English language communication skills (both oral and written). </li><li> Strong ability to write investigation reports in English with minimal coaching or editing. </li><li> Excellent organizational skills and presentation skills. Experience presenting to senior leaders. </li><li> Ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters and exercise sound discretion and judgment. </li><li> Capable of working independently, assuming significant responsibility, and being a self-starter. </li><li> Ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals in addressing complex issues. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br><ul><li> Univeritiy Law degree </li><li> Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (DipLP) </li><li> Active practicing certificate from the Law Society or the Law Society of Scotland </li><li> Ability to practice law in the United Kingdom. </li><li> Minimum of 5-8 years of practicing experience. </li><li> Legal experience in the oilfield service industry, strongly preferred. </li><li> Some knowledge of trade (export and sanctions) is a plus, but not required. </li><li> Role is based in Aberdeen, UK </li></ul>
