HSSEQ Industrial Student

Our oil and gas operator client is looking for a Industrial Placement Student to join the HSSEQ Team for a duration of 12 months based in Aberdeen.  Candidates can be currently undertaking or completed a Degree and looking for paid work experience.<br><br>  <br><br> The successful student will gain the following:<br><br>  <br><br><ul><li>Working within the HSSEQ team based in Aberdeen and supported by experienced colleagues, the placement student will have the opportunity to acquire considerable industry knowledge through working closely with others.</li><li>Knowledge and experience of different operator's technical specifications and standards.</li><li>Experience working with Engineering Technical Authorities and Lead Engineers.</li><li>Experience of change management processes</li><li>The student can also support the team with other activities which will expand their knowledge and experience of the Oil and Gas industry.</li></ul> <br><br> BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE<br><br>  <br><br><ul><li>To support the management system team in a variety of documentation and publishing activities, including:</li><li>formatting of documents to defined specification</li><li>quality checking / editing of documents to defined standards</li><li>incorporating business updates to controlled documents</li><li>updating graphics within controlled documents</li><li>producing electronic copies for online delivery</li><li>publishing updates within the management system</li><li>updating and distributing controlled hard copies</li><li>updating document management spreadsheets and registers</li></ul> <br><br> ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS<br><br>  <br><br><ul><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels</li><li>Strong planning and organisational skills</li><li>Ability to be proactive, pragmatic and deliver results.</li><li>Evidence of creative thinking with the ability to introduce new concepts and ideas.</li><li>A high level of accuracy / attention to detail and good administration skills.</li><li>Software used includes Advanced Word, Acrobat, Excel, SharePoint, Illustrator and Visio.</li><li>Full training will be provided on all required software, standards and specifications.</li></ul> <br><br>  <br><br> QUALIFICATIONS<br><br>  <br><br> Currently undertaking or completed a Degree in the following: Publishing, English, Quality Management,  Business Management or equivalent.<br><br>  <br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
