<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>The National Portrait Gallery houses a unique collection of all forms of portraiture of the people who have made or are currently contributing to British history and culture; the collection is the most comprehensive of its kind in the world. With around 2 million visitors each year prior to temporary closure for the <i>Inspiring People</i> project and a strong national and international presence through touring exhibitions and special projects, the Gallery is one of the country’s most important and popular galleries.</p>
<p><b>Marketing Officer</b><b> </b><br />
<b>£26,625 per annum</b><br />
<b>Full-time, 40 hours per week</b><br />
<b>Fixed Term for 22 months</b><br />
<b>Home (up to 3 days per week) and site based</b></p>
<p>We are seeking a creative and innovative Marketing Officer, who will play a key role in contributing to the Gallery’s overall marketing plans and strategies. An integral member of the Communications Department, the post holder will deliver a full range of marketing functions, with a specific focus on the Gallery’s exhibition programme, generic marketing activities, events programme and audience development projects.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will have demonstrable previous experience of working in an arts marketing department, ideally in a museum or heritage organisation or similar environment, alongside proven experience of creating, implementing and monitoring marketing campaigns. They will have excellent organisational and administrative skills alongside outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.</p>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity for a confident professional who can create eye-catching marketing campaigns for the exhibitions, permanent collection and programme including the preparation for the Gallery’s relaunch in 2023.</p>
