An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Social Media Officer. </p>
<p>Our social media accounts are the shop front of our organisation. Through our social media activity we are able to tell the world about the vital role of the housing association sector, shape opinions, influence ideas and manage reputational risk. </p>
<p>We are looking for someone who can develop the organisation’s social media strategy; develop engaging and impact to support our influencing goals; and use social media to help to spot and manage reputational risks for the sector.</p>
<p>The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. <p><strong>Key elements of the role:</strong><br />
•    Managing our social media accounts on a day-to-day basis, considering the multiple functions we have for these channels across the organisation and using these accounts to spot and manage reputation risk<br />
•    Working with key internal stakeholders to develop and secure buy in for the organisational social media strategy to engage and influence our key audiences<br />
•    Creating engaging and impactful content to support the delivery of the NHF’s communications and influencing aims </p>

<strong>The successful candidate:</strong><br />
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</p>
<p>•    Experience of working across a variety of social media platforms and how best to use and develop them for an organisation’s needs.<br />
•    Experience of developing social media strategies to support organisational influencing and communications objectives.<br />
•    Experience of developing creative user focused digital content, working with case studies and using knowledge of the latest trends and developments.<br />
•    Knowledge of social media analytics and experience of using key tools to track and evaluate social media performance.<br />
•    The ability to collaborate with colleagues from across an organisation to develop social media plans and content.</p>
