<p>A brilliant opportunity has come up to work for an amazing not for profit organisation based in London to join their growing team. <br /><br />Charity People are proud to be partnering with this £5 million turnover organisation, to recruit a new Financial Controller. This is a newly created contract to permanent role.<br /><br />Candidates applying for this role should be immediately available - there is a quick turnaround with this role.<br /><br />This client is a leader in the fight against climate change. This is an exciting time to join a forward thinking team where you will be able to bring you expertise, commercial acumen, charity SORP experience, leadership skills and solid financial experience to the table. <br /><br />You will be working very closely with a Director of Finance who will encourage you to develop your skills just as you will lead and develop your role and team.<br /><br />This is a London based organisation, but you have the opportunity to work from home if you are based regionally. <br /><br />This is a newly created role will be offering a salary, negotiable, of circa £60,000 - £65,000 per annum. <br /><br />The main duties and responsibilities:<br />- Preparation of the annual statutory accounts according to Charity SORP<br />- Support the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts<br />- Preparation of monthly management accounts<br />- Managing cashflow and preparing forecasts<br />- Dealing with complex income streams from multiple projects<br />- Working with overseas offices<br />- Leading and managing a team<br />- Liaising with the auditors, HMRC, banks and other partners<br /><br />Candidates applying for this role must have the following skills:<br />- Recognised CCAB qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)<br />- Experience of at least three years in a similar capacity<br />- Excellent interpersonal skills<br />- Ability to work closely with budget holders<br />- Experience working within the charity or not-for-profit sector<br />- Charity VAT<br />- Project allocations and time apportionment<br />- Leading and managing a team<br />- Experience preparing accounts according to Charity SORP<br />- Available to start immeidately<br /><br />Candidates applying for this role should be available to start on a short notice.<br /><br />First stage interview will be held w/c 11th October, 2021<br /><br />If you have the required experience and skills, please apply with a copy of your CV. <br /><br />Charity People actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion.
