<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />
<br />
Wood is seeking a <b>Project Quality Coordinator</b> for upcoming large-scale construction projects in Port Hope area (Ontario).<br />
<br />
The successful candidate will be capable of performing, training and managing the following main job duties:<br />
<br />
<b>Key Responsibilities: </b></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Provides support to the project team in the successful implementation of quality strategies, plans, objectives, and deliverables</li>
<li>Supports the continued communication, development, and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)</li>
<li>Supports planned assurance activities through planning, execution, and reporting phases. This may include external assurance (e.g., suppliers and subcontractors)</li>
<li>Supports the quality team (and others) in the production and review of quality deliverables in support of overall project or program implementation</li>
<li>Oversees the document control and management of project documentation and records</li>
<li>Mentorships and training of the document control processes across team and subcontractor network</li>
<li>Responsible for tracking and following up with discipline leads on the quality action log items</li>
<li>Coordinates documents and deliverables with the discipline leads</li>
<li>Works with the quality team to ensure outstanding results from surveillances/ audits are addressed</li>
<li>Validates inspection requirements and carries out inspection activities at worksites, suppliers, and/or on receipt at warehouse as instructed by the project Quality team.</li>
<li>Inspections of materials and reviews of material certification prior to delivery to fabricators/manufacturers where required</li>
<li>Witnesses / reviews of testing activities in compliance with Inspection and test plan requirements</li>
<li>Verifications that appropriate approvals are in place prior to commencement of specific works (e.g. weld procedures are approved, welder certification, etc.)</li>
<li>Generation of inspection and progress reports as required.</li>
<li>Report any inspection deficiencies and queries to project team</li>
<li>Provides support to as-building processes and handover for completions.</li>
<li>Assists with incident investigations, reviewing incident reports and ensuring that any relevant correct/preventive actions are implemented;</li>
<li>Reviews project records for completion before saving on the project drive</li>
<li>Coordinates and works with the Operations Team and subcontractors field inspections and testing</li>
<li>Coordinates with the Client hold points inspections as identified in the Inspection and Test Plan</li>
<li>Keeps track and ensures calibration records are received for equipment used for measuring and testing activities</li>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b></p>

<ul>
<li>College Diploma coupled with three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in Quality Control in construction (civil, environmental projects)</li>
<li>ISO 9001:2015 Knowledge will be a plus</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the application of quality assurance and procurement principles</li>
<li>Experience in the construction industry</li>
<li>Strong Microsoft Applications experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint</li>
<li>Strong communication and writing skills</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills, judgment, time management and flexibility</li>
<li>Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain Reliability Status Clearance, which requires an applicant to have lived in Canada for the past three years - Additional security clearances will include, criminal record check, police check and credit check.</li>
