This role will sit within our Water Engineering team, which focuses on delivering engineering services for the Municipal Water Sector in the UK and Ireland and to provide engineering solutions to industrial clients worldwide. Our work covers a broad range of services incorporating engineering and consultancy services in the water sector, industrial and municipal and supporting Wood's purpose to unlock solutions to deliver a net-zero future and enable a more sustainable, resilient and liveable world. <br><br><b>Your typical working week with us...</b> <br><br> A typical day for this role will consist of the following: <br><ul><li> Producing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) </li><li> Meetings with multidisciplinary teams in the projects you will be involved </li><li> Coordination and liaison with P&ID Engineers (the named engineer who coordinates design inputs from all disciplines into the design of P&IDs) </li><li> Involvement in production of Electrical and ICA diagrams </li></ul><br> <b>Join

There are opportunities for ongoing and structured career development. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Have experience in the preparation of PFDs and P&IDs </li><li> Have produced technically sound CAD related deliverables for engineering designs </li><li> Can work collaboratively within a team environment, delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality </li><li> Have experience in a fast-paced environment that brings different challenges each day </li><li> Are able to comply with technical governance procedures </li><li> Are computer literate and thoroughly conversant with the MS Office suite </li><li> Have good communication skills </li><li> Can employ a client focused approach to service delivery </li><li> Have a willingness to learn </li><li> Have experience in a consultancy environment or engineering company or other relevant industry acting as a CAD Technician </li><li> Have good time management skills, including the ability to deliver several projects at once </li><li> Are a self-starter, capable of working proactively with colleagues located in multiple locations </li></ul><br> <b>At Wood we also value Qualifications in addition to experience:</b> <br><ul><li> Level 2 qualification, e.g. minimum four GCSE's at grades A* to C including mathematics and English (or equivalent) </li><li> A recognised CAD related qualification, e.g. Level 3 award in 2D computer aided design (or equivalent) </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
