<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Cost Controller to be based in our Hull office. <br><br><b>Join a culture of innovation</b>, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to seek the best solutions for our clients. <br><br>Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Prepare cost estimates for contract variations including the review and evaluation of contractor submitted variations, early warnings, and compensation events </li><li> Leads the review and assessment of variations with contractors through to agreement and conclusion of the related variation order </li><li> Analyse work activities, manpower and GCC productivities in generating new work unit rates with Contractors </li><li> Coordinates with project Commercial to obtain local market quotes and trend to estimate cost for any variations or additional works </li><li> Reviews / Participates in the preparation reporting for the monthly/Bi-monthly cost and variation meetings for the clients' stakeholders and steering group </li><li> Leads the development of cost breakdown structures to be used for commercial evaluation and reporting </li><li> Provide analysis of contract payment terms and related cash flow </li><li> Establish and implement Project cost estimating database for benchmarking and reference </li><li> Leads the development, review, analysis and evaluation of costs related to contractor claims </li><li> Identify potential cost risk events and evaluate related cost impact </li><li> Identify and mitigate cost risk </li><li> Assist in the preparation of the final project close - out report and fixed asset register </li><li> Performs other related duties as assigned by the Contract Manager </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Minimum of 10 years' experience in the oil and gas or Chemical industry </li><li> Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering Construction environment </li><li> Demonstrated leadership experience and previous track record of successfully working in PMC team </li><li> Experience of working with multi - national and multi - cultural project teams is strongly preferred </li><li> Experience of working with NEC 3 or 4 contracts is strongly preferred </li><li> A Degree in Engineering or Commerce preferred (Significant experience required if no qualification) </li></ul><br><b> Systems used </b><br><br> Power Bi <br><br> Sypro <br><br> Teams <br><br> Outlook <br><br> M-Files <br><br> Coreworx <br><br> Maximo <br><br> Microsoft office suite particularly Word & Excel <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
