Industrial Hygiene Specialist

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood Environment &amp; Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an <b>Industrial Hygiene Specialist </b>with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join Texas office and become an integral member of our technical team. Key responsibilities will include providing contract/project management and technical support on various asbestos, lead, and mold assessment and abatement projects for existing and new environmental/industrial/government clients.<br />
<br />
Key Responsibilities :</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Serve as a Point of Contact on state-wide or local contracts for key clients</li>
<li>Manage and/or support key projects and tasks</li>
<li>Coordinating and leading environmental field and office tasks</li>
<li>Perform complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved technologies and procedures</li>
<li>Assist with data assessment and report preparation</li>
<li>Adherence to health and safety plans, work plans, and other project guidance documents</li>
<li>Participate in reporting activities at hazardous waste sites</li>
<li>Lead and mentor a team of junior staff and be a team player</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Texas specific licenses or certifications, such as:
<ul>
<li>Asbestos - Asbestos Inspector; Asbestos Project Manager; Asbestos Air Monitoring Technician</li>
<li>Lead - Lead Risk Assessor; Lead Inspector</li>
<li>Mold - Mold Assessment Consultant; Mold Assessment Technician</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Experience managing teams of inspectors</li>
<li>Experience overseeing and managing subcontractors</li>
<li>Experience with Federal and State regulations related to asbestos, lead, and mold</li>
<li>Computer proficient (must have proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</li>
<li>Strong written, verbal, and inter-personal skills</li>
<li>Good team building skills and ability to lead by influence</li>
<li>Good time-management skills. Ability to focus and attention to detail</li>
<li>Must be organized and able to communicate clearly</li>
<li>Team player and technical contributor</li>
<li>Able to operate within scope, schedule and budget during project implementation</li>
</ul>

39;s degree in a natural science</li>
<li>OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification</li>
<li>8-hr Supervisor training</li>
