<p>Requisition Title: Training Advisor<br />
Description: About this opportunity:<br />
Reporting to the CAP Manager and as a member of the Training and Competency Assurance team. This Training and Competency Assurance Advisor&
39;s role is responsible for the standardization, development, and implementation of corporate competency assurance governance. A key aspect of this role will be to collaborate across all entities to support full implementation and sustainment of our Training and Competency elements within the framework of Client&
39;s Operations Integrity Management System (COIMS). Additionally, this role includes developing documents, standards and process that provide corporate level governance to the business. Networking with Field managers and Training leaders, this is a front facing role looking for an energetic person to strengthen our partnerships across our client groups and support the success of the Competency Assurance program at a site level.<br />
Responsibilities:<br />
* Support the Corporate Competency Assurance Program (CAP) and work across the business to steward the consistent application of the program requirements<br />
* Create Competency and Training standards, process and guidance documents that provide clear direction and tools for the entities<br />
* Develop workplans and processes that drive consistent and systematic program implementation at the entity level<br />
* Work directly with site level leadership and competency advisors through our workplan to achieve full compliance as per the Competency Assurance Program<br />
* Support various entities through implementation of the CAP requirements<br />
* Guide the entities through local self-verification, competency gap assessments and monitoring checks that provide CAP continuous improvement and sustainment<br />
* As a CAP SME, conduct assurance assessments in alignment with COIMS<br />
* Work within a Training and Competency Assurance stakeholder network to champion corporate training initiatives and drive program alignment across<br />
* Chair Stakeholder meetings and foster a collaborative network of training specialists with the goal of extracting efficiencies and driving consistency across Competency Assurance activities<br />
* Collaborate with stakeholders to drive gap closure related to training and competency requirements.<br />
* Lead competency assessment and assurance activities for safety critical roles and provide recommendations for improvement.<br />
* Develop and maintain a corporate competency matrix for safety critical roles that is scalable across various functional groups<br />
* Lead the development, delivery, and sustainment of the corporate level CAP Formal Assessor training.<br />
* Interface with stakeholders to ensure the CAP and its design is achievable at the entity level and collaborate to set reasonable expectations for compliance.<br />
* Introduce and stand up the CAP Revalidation Process such that it is sustained at the entity level.<br />
* As an Ambassador for our Client&
39;s work culture, consistently demonstrate the expected competencies and associated behaviors of a frontline leader.<br />
* Deliver classroom facilitation and speaking to an audience to provide awareness level training<br />
* Support Instructional Designers in development and revisions of corporate standard awareness training<br />
Qualifications:<br />
* Must be legally entitled to work in Canada<br />
* Periodical site travel to the United States of America may be required<br />
* 10 years of related experience in Competency Assurance Governance<br />
* Ability to take initiative and own a project, and work both independently and as part of a team<br />
* Facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to deliver to a large audience, including senior leadership teams<br />
* Bachelor&
39;s Degree in relevant field, or a combination of formal education and equivalent experience will be considered.<br />
* Adult learning certification<br />
* Knowledge of operating management systems or COIMS.<br />
* Experience in project management or work coordination role.<br />
* Document Management System background is an asset<br />
* Learning Management System background an asset<br />
* Gas and Oil operational background is an asset<br />
* Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint 2013 and Power BI<br />
