1! We are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to serve teammates and leaders across Republic’s footprint to ensure appropriate and timely resolution of workplace concerns. You will have the opportunity to use your strong communication skills, sound judgment and ability to diagnose and recommend solutions that are in line with employment-related policies and practices. This position could be located at our Baton Rouge, LA or Plano, TX office. The Employee Relations Advisor is a key business partner for leadership and provides expertise, coaching and advice in the areas of employee relations, employee programs, and interpretation of policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: Acts as an independent, confidential resource providing clients with analysis of facts, conclusions, and recommendations in response to internal and external concerns. Functions as the central point of contact and subject matter expert for all employee relations matters. Partners with leaders to address and resolve employee behavioral and performance issues. Works collaboratively with leaders while providing advice on the most appropriate performance management tool to use in each circumstance; provides performance counseling, advice and recommendations on a broad range of general people issues and policy/compliance issues. Leads and thoroughly documents investigations into workplace complaints. Independently manages assigned casework, bringing investigations and all assigned cases to closure rapidly and definitively; ensures highly accurate documentation and reporting. Analyzes casework trends to produce recommendations to proactively address and mitigate systemic or recurring issues. Facilitates impartial and objective conflict resolution and mediation interventions in response to employee concerns/complaints. Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to leaders and employees. Advises and trains leaders in employee relations best practices and strategies for addressing management and supervisory performance issues and employee grievances. Guides leaders through termination process and procedures. Reviews exit interview responses; recommends action if necessary and communicates responses. Analyzes and presents exit questionnaire trends to senior management. Partners with leadership to improve employee engagement, including the use of engagement reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Responds to unemployment claims. Assists in development of overall HR procedures by recommending improvements or changes when deemed necessary. Provides support for human resources projects, initiatives, and coverage as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field or directly related equivalent work experience 3+ years of experience in human resources or employee relations directly managing complex employee matters and investigations HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred Knowledge and familiarity with human resources policies, practices, procedures, federal and state employment laws and compliance, and non-discrimination laws and regulations Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to successfully operate within a fast-paced, geographically dispersed environment with a sense of drive and urgency while balancing multiple priorities Strong problem solving and relationship building, and communications skills Ability to inspire confidence and calm in face of difficult situations Excellent oral and written communication skills; prior business writing and presentation experience required High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Proven ability, experience, and knowledge of best practices in conducting workplace investigations Benefits We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including: Health/Dental/Vision Paid Time Off (PTO) 401 (K) and employer match Company provided Life Insurance & Long Term Disability Additional benefits with Republic Finance include: Employee of the Month Program Philanthropic support for charities such as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Cancer Society Professional offices with a friendly team environment Republic Finance, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, age disability or veteran status in employment opportunities and benefits.
