Applications Engineer

NES Fircroft are on the lookout for an Applications Engineer, with significant experience handling proposals & quotations, ideally within an O&G environment.<br><br>This is a permanent position based in Manchester, and you will be responsible for internal commercial practices for our clients' industrial products business across the EMEA market.<br><br>This role also offers hybrid working, allowing the candidate to work 2-3 days per week from home, is a 37 hour working week and the team also finish early on Friday!<br><br>Main responsibilities: <br><ul><li>Create and develop proposal and enquiry documents, detail design for purposes of quotation, purchase and manufacture</li><li>Request quotations from equipment suppliers</li><li>Evaluate sub-vendor proposals and reply to bid clarifications.</li><li>Carry out single and inter-discipline checks and reviews</li><li>Attend and participate in client meetings, maintaining a high degree of professionalism and ensuring that customer care is foremost</li><li>Attend and participate in HAZOPs, bid clarification meetings, project kick off meetings, visit client assets and provide process input to ensure customer care is foremost</li><li>Responsible for the development of systems and improvement in working practices and processes </li></ul>Key skills required:<br><ul><li>Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook) - essential</li><li>Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems - essential</li><li>Knowledge of industry standards - essential</li><li>An understanding of liner hanger equipment - desirable</li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
