As a member of the Production department, you will participate in the improvement and the quest for productivity of the Test process, validating our SWBD product (low voltage electrical equipment), by setting up better working conditions, eliminating waste and standardizing work methods. The goal is to be more efficient in terms of Health and Safety, Quality and operating time of this process. You will participate in the overall productivity of the plant by deploying solutions to increase our production capacity. What will you do? Understand, observe, and map the test steps performed on low voltage switchgear (SWBD) Understand the CSA and CUL normative requirements for the certification of our electrical products in order to eliminate the excess of quality and focus only on the requirements Develop a productivity plan by reducing non-value added tasks and standardizing the process Implement improvement actions by supporting change with the Testers' teams Measure the effectiveness of the implemented solutions by comparing past practices with the new ones What qualifications will make you successful? Student in continuous improvement or industrial engineering, you are looking for an internship of 4 to 8 months in a company where you can put into practice your knowledge in the field of Lean Manufacturing, Methods/Process Standardization and Electrical Testing. You have already practiced and used Lean Manufacturing tools in order to improve and standardize processes on production lines. You have an interest in the field of energy and electricity distribution. Autonomous and rigorous, you have good communication skills and are bilingual (French and English).
