Responsibilities

Job Summary
Responsible for coordination of Food Service computer systems. Updates, implements and maintains the database for all hospital locations. Prepares various projects of a complex nature. Serves as a resource for all hospitals. Responds promptly, professionally and efficiently. Provides exceptional customer service and assistance. Independently performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative functions in course of work. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and tasks, utilize effective verbal and written communication skills in highly emotional situations. Works with minimal supervision. Must be self motivated, flexible and professional. Promotes the philosophy, programs and initiatives of the network.
Essential Functions

• Maintains Food Service computer system for all food service operations in the network, including master databases, invoices, and master file for menu printing systems. Establishes system protocol standards for use at all food service facilities. Manages Food Service system applications software utilization. Coordinates file updates and data transfers between Food Service system applications and Information Services.
• Performs a wide variety of complex secretarial tasks. May type correspondence, reports, emails/memos, special projects, technical papers and related material for department staff as requested. Bills departments monthly for food service supplies. Updates and revises patient menus. Creates new patient menus as requested. Answers telephone, routes caller, takes messages and provides routine information to clients or customers in accordance with company policy.
• Builds tables and implements software applications for all hospitals. Establishes and maintains files and records on an ongoing basis. Handles and files records containing confidential information. Stores files per established procedures.
• Orients and trains staff on utilization of Food Service system applications and computer operation. Designs customized training guides for users. Opens and routes incoming mail; distributes correspondence and other material to department staff. Cross train to Service Center staff at the food service units. Input transport dispatch work request into applicable applications. Answer and input room service calls into Hospitality Suites software.

Education

• Associate's Degree in IT or business computer solutions - Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED - Required

Experience

• 2 years related - Required
• 3 years related - Preferred
