ditional Information About the Role BJH is hiring for an Accounting Clerk. This is a hybrid position. This role will be doing data entry and invoices. Proficient in Excel is a must. Must live in the St. Louis metro area. The Department of Food and Nutrition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital consists of Patient, Retail and Catering Service areas on both the North and South Campus.� This includes patient meal and Clinical Nutrition Services, Queeny Tower Restaurant, three Cafeterias and three Coffee Bars.� It is the role of the department to serve the needs of patients, visitors and employees with excellent customer service.� Our qualified staff services the patients' nutritional needs during their hospital stay according to specified guidelines to improve their clinical status and assist in the healing process.� Opportunities are available for all skill levels from entry-level positions to licensed and/or certified management positions. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performing accounting activities for the Food & Nutrition Department, including retail sales and cash reporting, journal entry preparation, food and supply cost transfers, invoice verification and processing, and inventory valuation. Responsibilities Prepares general ledger journal entries and cost transfers. Posts, audits and reports retail operations. Maintains and updates the inventory database and prepares inventory usage reports. Processes approved vendor invoices for payment, including cost center and expense category information.
