Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary Provides clinical and administrative direction and leadership for Oncology services throughout the network. Serves as the service line leader as it relates to ambulatory environment, provides daily operations oversight including personnel supervision, physician relationships, driving quality initiatives and supply cost control. Works collaboratively with Operational executives in the acute environment to support and execute strategic programs and services within the service line. Assists with implementation of service line strategic plans, program development, contract negotiations and overall system-wide success of Oncology. Responsible for operational direction of all outpatient oncology services system-wide, inpatient pain services, the Virginia Piper Cancer Center, and its related services. Responsible for implementation of initiatives to enhance the patient experience throughout the continuum of care. Responsible for health system-physician relationship development and successful collaborations within Oncology, including related surgical oncology subspecialty areas of urology, general surgery, colorectal surgery, gyn surgery, breast surgery, and others as appropriate. Responsible for successful collaborations with internal departments around improving patient care and health system-physician relationships. Supports initiatives to maintain Magnet status for nursing. Provides leadership in the development and enhancement of Oncology programs and services across the continuum of care, which includes facilitating change. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with service line physicians to help achieve collaborative operational, financial, strategic, and quality initiatives. Implements key strategies, goals, and initiatives regarding service line financial health, quality, and physician alignment to enhance system-wide Oncology service line performance. Analyzes potential markets for expanded services and leads the expansion of oncology service delivery in cooperation with the organization’s business development, finance, marketing and physician leadership teams. Works collaboratively with team members from acute care, medical group, ICP, and other HH entities to ensure engagement and support to service line goals. Has primary responsibility/accountability for managing the oncology service line co-management relationship with Arizona Center for Cancer Care. Facilitates the development of centers of excellence and other program certifications, accreditations, and distinctions within the Oncology service line, which foster the most effective and efficient delivery of high-quality patient care. Develop guidelines and measurement systems to ensure agreed-upon standards are implemented across cancer-related specialties (i.e., patient service standards including access metrics, patient satisfaction, interdisciplinary communication standards and referring physician communication standards). Manage and improve service line activity along key performance metrics for related clinical subspecialties including volume growth, patient satisfaction, access, quality measures, service line profitability and staff and physician engagement scores. Directs, supervises, and motivates personnel/subordinate managers, supervisors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants assigned to the service line. Plans, establishes, and revises work assignments. Interviews, selects, hires, and evaluates personnel. Initiates changes in classification, salary action, promotion, demotion, transfer, and termination. Settles employee problems and administers appropriate disciplinary action. Based on strategic directions, develops and implements growth strategies that increase volume and revenue, while appropriately managing expenses to achieve the budgeted contribution margin. Works collaboratively with C-suite executives to ensure engagement of all matrixed leaders with acute operational responsibility that is aligned with service line goals. Qualifications Education Master's Degree Required Experience 7 years in an Oncology Service Line leadership role Required Other Development and operational management of health care services. Excellent background in physician relationship development and communication skills. Required
