Þscription Transports patients, supplies, equipment, medication, medical charts, specimens, blood products, flowers, name plates, paper (i.e., OR schedules, requisitions, etc.) in a timely manner Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities: Transport patients safely to/from all patient units & designated treatment areas in a timely manner and in accordance with prescribed procedures Perform or assist with the movement of patients; assist with transport/transfer of patients from chair/bed, bed/stretcher, etc. Performance of specific environmental and support functions Maintenance of required supplies and equipment; ensure equipment used for transport is safe, clean, and easily accessible Practice effective communication and collaboration with other health care members Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalency required Current or previous experience as a transporter preferred Ability to lift and move heavy objects and/or patients with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to be flexible and self-directed Effective interpersonal skills Collective bargaining unit: SEIU Local 144-MSB-NonRN SEIU local 144 at MS Brooklyn for Non-RNs, ADN - Transport Service - BKL, Mount Sinai Brooklyn Employer Description Strength Through Diversity The Mount Sinai Health System believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion are key drivers for excellence.
