The MED Technical Sales & Project Solutions Department is the unit of the Regional Engineering & Technology under Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO), accountable for understand market technical and operational requirements, to unlock customer value thru timely deployed value engineered solutions, while securing Vestas quality and profitability in the Mediterranean Region.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities are as follows:

• Guide the technical support to East Europe Sales Team and take full accountability for the technical solution and define the best technical solution in collaboration with rest of the functions, during sales and construction phase
• Supervise the technical value engineering of customer projects and direct technical negotiations as a collaborative member of the East Europe team
• Ensure timely responses to customer enquiries, prepare clarifications and deviations to tenders, as well as technical annexes and contract schedules during contract negotiations
• You will need to network to build relationships with the key technical people in your customers& 39; organization, promoting their requirements inside Vestas and ensuring they prefer to use Vestas
• Understanding of the market, customer business cases and sales& 39; perspective in general; track of the local rules and legislation and participate in working groups where required to define the right set of market requirements.

Qualifications

• Master& 39;s degree in Engineering field as Aeronautics, Electrical or Mechanical, combined with a Commercial/ Business insight.
• 5 years& 39; work experience in technical role in Wind Industry or Energy sector
• Previous experience in directing technical negotiation in the wind energy sector
• More important than formal education is the willingness and motivation to learn. This is a role that requires technical, commercial, and policy knowledge
• Fluency in Romanian and English (spoken and written) is necessary; knowing additional Eastern European languages would be ideal

The Technical Bid Specialist is a varied position that requires technical skills, commercial understanding, and good coordination skills. The ideal candidate should reveal these attributes and skills:

• Creative solution identification with a high degree of motivation to satisfy customer needs
• Solid technical knowledge on Wind Turbines
• Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express clearly in technical and non-technical terms
• Good collaborator that appreciates engaging with various stakeholders
• The ability to be resourceful, organized, and collaborative, capable of navigating in intensive environments
