SALT: The State and Local Tax specialty practice provides a unique blend of consulting across a broad spectrum of tax areas, including asset management/alternative investment vehicles, income/franchise tax planning, dispute and controversy resolution, sales and use tax, employment taxes, identification of credits and incentives, and abandoned and unclaimed property. Working collaboratively with the other tax lines of service on the largest and most prestigious clients of the Firm, opportunities exist to help these clients manage their state and local tax burdens by providing solutions and identifying appropriate tax treatment that is consistent with best business practices and states’ applicable tax laws and rules.
Real Estate: Advise clients on their federal, local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to: deals and transactions (including mergers, acquisitions and investments, conversions, reorganizations, dispositions, joint ventures, fund formation and structuring, etc.). M&A: A career in our Merger and Acquisition Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.Our team helps our clients with various aspects of a merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency. You’ll focus on helping clients establish treasury goals, analyse and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts.
