This role will be responsible for proactively assisting in the development of sourcing strategies that are aligned with business and program needs and then driving execution of those strategies while ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are exceeding expectations. The Sourcing Analyst supports the sourcing team with supplier identification and selection, negotiation, new product sourcing, and supplier relationship management. Responsibilities include execution of sourcing strategies, such as supplier consolidations, cost improvements, and supplier qualification, as examples. Responsibilities: * Supports the Development and Execution of Strategic Sourcing Strategies. * Assist in the development and implementation of commodity strategies for various production materials such as PCBA’s, connectors, cables, and various machined and stamped parts. * Analyzes key Sourcing KPI's, spend data, and vendor performance scores. * Provides the evaluation of vendor quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and sourcing analysis techniques and implementation of proper contracts with emphasis on quality, delivery, total cost, and service necessary to meet requirements * Leads the development of supplier grouping and sub-commodity strategy analysis * Manages, nurtures and supports supplier relationships; designs and implements supplier improvement initiatives and resolves critical supplier issues. * Develops RFI's/RFP's and Actively Negotiates and Maintains Contracts. * Leads or supports negotiations and management of long-term agreements to leverage buying position. Tracks, monitors, and documents contractual changes. * Supports use of strategic sourcing tools such as Spend Analysis and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). Evaluate data and assist the management team in identifying and managing key suppliers. Works with Sourcing Leaders to identify, qualify, and maintain optimum supply base capability and capacity. * Develops and conducts RFQ's, RFP's using both traditional and web-based platforms * Actively identifies new sources of supply. * Responsible for the hand-off of contracts, vendors, and commodities from Sourcing to Purchasing * Ensures buyers and purchasing managers are up to speed on new contractual sourcing terms by vendor, by part number * Facilitate clear and timely written or verbal communication, advising management of critical issues and provide some suggested solutions for assigned categories and/or projects. * Possess the ability to assess supplier’s production capabilities to support the sourcing strategies. * Participate as a cross functional team member, actively working toward successful implementation and completion of team goals and objectives. Experience/Education * 2-5+ years’ experience in supply chain, manufacturing or distribution function * Bachelor’s level degree within a relevant discipline is required. Three to five years’ relevant experience, training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. * Ability to network within a cross functional environment * Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data. * Proficient computer skills – particularly Microsoft Office applications * Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced Excel Skills preferred. * Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles, a plus * Experience with an industry standard ERP package (Infor, SAP, MS Dynamics 365 ) * Must be detail oriented, highly organized, resourceful, and work well within a team environment.
