SR. SAFETY OFFICER (OPERATIONS)
Primary Purpose of Job
The primary function of this position supports company&
39;s efforts to HSE Department goals, to develop, prepare, maintain and deliver QP and Contractor HSE compliance programs. Professional HSE guidance and leadership in training, policy & procedure development, audits, risk assessments, QP HSEMS and contractor HSE programs, and other HSE activities.
Education
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health safety and NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum. Degree and/or MSc Degree in relevant subject.
Experience & Skills
•10 years&
39; experience minimum, 2 years as a Manager/Supervisory, Broad knowledge of HSE matters, HSE laws, Regulations, policies and procedures. • High organization and negotiation skills, Strong leadership and communication skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Strong customer (operations) focus & credibility within the organization, Able to develop personnel. • Subject matter apprenticeship or trade associated in line with the role is advantageous
