«out the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 08 The Team: The Data Catalog - Metadata Management team, within the Enterprise Data Organization, is dedicated to enhancing the usability and accessibility of data assets. We focus on organizing and categorizing data, ensuring the accuracy of metadata, and promoting data discoverability and machine readability. Responsibilities and Impact: Assist in the organization and categorization of data assets within the data catalog. Assist in the design, development, and implementation of the data catalog, defining functionalities and ensuring alignment with overall data governance goals. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of metadata across all data entries. Promote data discoverability and machine readability to enhance data usability. Collaborate with data scientists, business stewards, and technical data stewards to ensure requirements are met for data catalog integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve data catalog standards. Support the development and implementation of data catalog policies and procedures. Participate in training sessions to educate stakeholders on data catalog functionalities and best practices. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Data Management, Knowledge Engineering or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with data management principles and metadata standards. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Key Soft Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with data catalog tools and platforms. Knowledge of graph databases and understanding of SQL and SPARQL. Familiarity with data governance and data stewardship practices. Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in metadata management.
