We're thrilled to be supporting one of the UK's leading children's charities in their search for a Senior Philanthropy Manager covering the North and Midlands. This is an established patch within a successful, growing philanthropy team and a brilliant opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of some of the region's most vulnerable children. The Philanthropy team focus' on high level, individual and family donor relationships and is responsible for securing major gifts ranging from four to seven figures+.
As Senior Philanthropy Manager you'll lead and line manage a team of four major gift fundraisers to meet annual income goals; you will work with each team member, overseeing portfolios, to ensure they correctly solicit gifts of the greatest possible size from each supporter. You will 'key-work' a small number of key donors and prospects; managing those relationships to generate significant income and maximise long term potential, surpassing a personal income target of at least 100,000 a year. You will be focused on raising the profile of and engagement with major giving fundraising and, be tasked with developing and delivering strategies aimed at improving relationships with major donors. This team is responsible for over £1million of income per annum and has the perfect foundations for growth potential.
Ideally, we're looking for someone with considerable personal experience of securing support from wealthy individuals, and leading others to do the same. We want a creative thinker with demonstrable leadership skills, aiming to manage and deliver significant fundraising income targets.
You'll be highly motivated and target driven with exceptional stewardship and relationship management skills and be very comfortable in making significant asks. You'll be a brilliant leader and collaborative team player who understands that a sharing and supportive culture yields better results.
Home-based in the North or Midlands with tons of flexibility. It's a positive, grown-up culture open to suggested working patterns with a charity that understands the importance of life and family-friendly working; 35 hours p/w. There is an additional £500 p/a home working allowance.
