This is a hands-on role. Responsibilities and Impact: As Senior Lead UI Architect, you will be the primary technical lead for the frontend and configuration layer of the MetaRegistry platform. This is not just a development role—it is a strategic leadership position that requires initiative, autonomy, and a strong drive for delivery excellence. You will: Design and lead the implementation of a configuration-driven, metadata-powered frontend architecture capable of rendering dashboards, widgets, entity views, and KPIs dynamically. Translate abstract system concepts into reusable, scalable UI components driven by metadata and schema definitions. Champion best-in-class architecture and delivery practices, ensuring performance, modularity, accessibility, and observability are deeply embedded in every layer. Lead a growing team of frontend engineers, providing architectural guidance, mentoring, code reviews, and technical direction to uphold engineering quality. Collaborate closely with backend teams to define data contracts, support schema evolution, and integrate data aggregation layers pulling from heterogeneous external sources with varying data formats but shared logical structures. Actively contribute to backend service architecture and API design using NodeJS/NestJS. Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot is a bonus. Work closely with UX, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to convert business goals into intuitive, maintainable, and scalable user experiences. Take initiative to improve systems proactively, unblock delivery, and lead by example—operating with minimum supervision and a strong ownership mindset. Partner with platform and DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD, observability, and cloud-based deployments (AWS preferred) are reliable and scalable. What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in frontend architecture roles using ReactJS, TypeScript, and modern UI engineering practices. Demonstrated experience leading frontend development for data-rich, dynamic platforms, particularly those with configuration-based rendering models (e.g., JSON-driven UI schemas). Strong architectural understanding of frontend system design, including component lifecycles, state modeling, and micro-frontend integration. Hands-on full-stack experience, particularly with NodeJS/NestJS, REST API design, and microservices. Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot is a plus. Prior experience working on data integration platforms or aggregation services that unify datasets from diverse sources into consistent, queryable interfaces. Strong grasp of data modeling principles, structured schemas (e.g., JSON Schema, OpenAPI), and schema versioning best practices. Proven ability to lead through influence, mentor engineers, and uphold technical excellence across a team. Experience working with cloud environments (preferably AWS), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices. Strong initiative and self-motivation: able to work independently, take ownership of goals, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent practical experience demonstrated through senior-level software development and system design roles. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with carbon markets, ESG data, or registry-based ecosystems. Experience building or contributing to internal component libraries, design systems, or low-code frameworks. Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, ELK) and performance monitoring at scale. Exposure to GraphQL, Swagger/OpenAPI, or other declarative API specifications. Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of independent decision-making with emphasis on driving specific, measurable and value-adding goals Creative thinker with a strong focus on efficient and reusable solutions and continuous improvement. Ability to collaborate effectively in geographically dispersed and diverse teams. Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to excellence in architecture and systems design.
