Our client is a specialist LNG container / tanker company, are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Designer on a permanent basis, based in Darlington. The role will be responsible for the production and checking of all electrical design documentation.

• Ensure that all aspects of the design works are carried out in a diligent and professional manner.
• To liaise with other discipline designers to ensure all interfaces are adequately covered.
• Production and checking of Drawings, Schedules and MTOs.
• Production and checking of Schematics and Termination diagrams.
• Production and checking of Design Documents and Detail/General arrangement drawings
• Carry out design activities using appropriate computer software programmes as required.
• Checking Electrical control systems and vendor package equipment complies with interface wiring requirements.

• ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• A good working knowledge of codes, standards and accepted working practices with respect to Electrical Design, within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries, including Cryogenic materials handling and storage (highly advantageous).
• Experience working with overseas clients, preferred.
• Proven experience working on projects as a Senior Designer.
• Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2D. 3D preferred.
