Key Responsibilities Accountable for system and process change initiatives aimed at improving operational performance and productivity (partnering with Business stakeholders), including identification and prioritization of opportunities, program design and execution, impact measurement, effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management within the organization. Leads team of GDO Excellence Leads to develop, prioritize, and implement improvement programs needed in support of trial delivery and special projects. Tracks value creation opportunities and business cases through realization Defines clear, annual and multi-year goals for organizational productivity and implements KPIs to measure progress Provides input on design and implementation of measurement systems that supports performance assessment which can be used to identify process improvements & measure business impact Support business process owners with improvements and identification of effective measures for monitoring process adequacy and compliance Reports value drivers, financial savings and value as outcome of initiatives for the organization. Monitors the external environment to identify additional opportunities to improve performance. Contributes to or leads Drug Development and Enterprise operational excellence programs and initiatives as required. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred Minimum of 10 years of pharma industry experience Knowledge of pharma industry landscape & trends Operational Excellence, Six Sigma / LEAN, or business process management experience Strong understanding of change management methodologies – certification a plus Management consulting experience a plus Highly skilled in strategic planning, project & change management, operational excellence, & financials/analytics required Exceptional ability to flex and influence across critical stakeholders and lead across the matrix to drive strategic priorities and business objectives Broad drug development experience and demonstrated experience in solving complex problems in clinical development and clinical operations Commitment and passion for achieving desired outcomes (i.e., value, quality, speed, cost).
