Plant Operations is part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installing and servicing a great number of SCADA systems, controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our goal is to convert a collection of wind turbines into a fully functional power facility that complies with contractual and local requirements.Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
Your responsibilitiesAs a member of our Pre-Configuration department, you will be responsible for testing and configuring SCADA servers, routers, Power Plant Controllers, and other hardware in our Factory Acceptance Test locations. The equipment is tested in here before it is shipped to a Power Plant somewhere in Northern/Central Europe. You will be following standardized processes and checklists, ensuring that the systems meet our quality standards.
- Taking ownership of solving specific technical issues in corporation with development team, internal colleagues etc. using the available process in Vestas
- Providing backend assistance to team members in the relevant technical domain
- Participating in strategic projects within the technical field of knowledge
Your qualifications and competenciesWe are looking for candidates who have a background in Information Technology, Automation or Telecommunications. You should have experience working in industrial server environments, troubleshooting networks, databases, software and hardware.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience working with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Practical experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Direct work with hardware.
- Proficiency in database management and operations.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems
