SGS have an exciting opportunity for a Rugby Union Coach to join our nationally recognised programme.
(Salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time & Fixed-Term Absence Cover
Hours: 37 hours per week
The Rugby Union Academy is a nationally recognised programme providing our learner athletes the opportunity to continue their Rugby development. Learners receive an Academy training programme which consists of technical and tactical training sessions, strength and conditioning, injury prevention and physiotherapy. Our ethos within the academy is to provide players an environment where they are given the tools to excel in a competitive team environment that assists players to improve as an individual and team whilst increasing their knowledge of the game. The Academy has a strong partnership with Bristol Bears and has seen many academy graduates sign professional contracts. Our first team compete in the renowned RFU ACE league, whilst our second team compete against other second teams and our third team represent the College in the Association of Colleges League.
This role is diverse with an emphasis of delivering an outstanding coaching experience for the Rugby Union Academy players ensuring the sessions are well planned and aligned to the core values of the academy whilst also providing key administration duties including organising fixtures and supporting learners academically to ensure performance is maintained to the highest standards.
The successful applicant will have a passion for the holistic development of students and will have a passion for providing memorable learner experiences at the College. The role requires someone who is highly organised and efficient, and able to problem-solve very effectively.
