Responsibilities Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60-acre campus is complete with mature oaks, rolling hills, and plenty of walking paths and outdoor spaces. We have 7 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development needs with a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court and playing fields. The RN provides physical assessments of patients; implements treatment plans, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, administers medications as prescribed and provides health care education for patients and families. The RN is the shift supervisor of the Mental Health Techs and LVN staff and ensures that the environment is safe and therapeutic for all patients. The RN provides direct patient care and management of children, adolescent, and young adult patients as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. One year psychiatric / neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents and / or young adults in a long-term hospital or residential setting preferred.
