ADN required; BSN preferred BLS required. ALS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale and NRP required within six (6) months of employment in Emergency Department. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and PEARS are encouraged within two (2) years of hire. Two to three years’ experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, or Emergency Medical Services preferred. Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM/De-Escalation) completed within six (6) months of hire. Ability to tolerate high stress levels and maintain a positive behavior. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required.
