We are pleased to announce the following available position: Admissions Registered Nurse (RN), Swing Shift Mon - Wed or Thur - Sat 12:00p – 12:30a The Assessment and Referral Registered Nurse is responsible for being able to perform all aspects of the Behavioral Health Centers intake and admissions process including efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of and communication with referral sources; providing Behavioral Health Center and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training: Graduated from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent Experience: Two (2) or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. Minimum two (2) years experience in a psychiatric Behavioral Health Center setting including customer contact. Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice in the State of Florida as a RN CPR certification Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Knowledge of standards for treatment in mental health and substance abuse. Knowledge of DSM-IV diagnoses. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of community resources.
