ÞPARTMENT SUMMARY * The Field Operations group works within the eCommerce team to deliver systems to our customers. The group works closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Production Operations. POSITION SUMMARY * We are seeking an experienced project manager with technical expertise in Project Management, Material Handling Equipment, Packaging, Distribution, Order Fulfillment, as well as mentoring and developing others in a project environment. This individual will take ownership of project efforts from the turnover meeting until completion of all scope and deliverables. Change management and resource management are key components to a successful project. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (Include Budget, P&L, and People Management Responsibilities, as appropriate) * Capable of understanding the detailed project scope, and how the budget and schedule align with that scope. * Able to breakdown the budget and create a forecast of expenditures that support the schedule and scope. * Able to create and maintain a detailed project schedule in MS Project, track activities and use this data to forecast resource demands for the project. * Able to identify scope changes, determine impact and initiate conversations with the customer about these impacts. This includes developing a cost and schedule impact. * Capable of assuming complete control of the project to which they are assigned. * Responsible for project specific communication both internally and externally. * Experienced leader who can build a team, help define priorities and track progress. * Be familiar with BlueCrest Safety Guidelines. Lead and maintain a safe compliant working environment. Coordinate with the Installation Manger to see that all safety reports and metrics are completed as required. * Ability to anticipate issues and develop mitigation strategies. * Analyze issues and problems and work to develop appropriate solutions. * Maintain a log of lessons and recommendations for future projects. * Work closely with the site installation team to ensure that they have the materials and information necessary to execute. * Work alongside the Installation Manger to keep the installation activities on schedule. Manage any personnel or staffing needs or issues. * PM should confirm that the parts and components needed on site have been shipped. * Establish project specific processes, checklists, etc., to ensure successful completion. * Coordinate with Customer representatives on site to avoid conflicts or misunderstandings. * Internal team coordination and meetings. * Provides monthly reports on program performance, including schedule, quality, in sufficient detail to support discussions with multiple levels of management. * Maintains regular and professional contact with the customer throughout the life of the program. * Capable of leading all aspects of customer interchange meetings. * Assists in the preparation of periodic customer updates and reports. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * BS Degree in engineering or technical discipline * 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience PREFERRED: * Bachelor’s Degree in technical field related to material handling equipment such as mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or project management fields * Prior experience with the development of project execution processes and standards * Prior experience with parcel and order fulfillment systems. KEY RELATIONSHIPS The role will report to the Director of Field Operations and collaborate with Program Management and Operations. QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS) MINIMUM: * Strong communication skills. Must be able to structure internal and external communication accordingly. * Ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Strong planning and leadership ability to coordinate and get tasks accomplished through indirect reports. Adaptability and change management skills, flexibility, versatility, and comfort level for working with multiple individuals and personalities. * Ability to mentor and motivate others. Strong negotiation skills. * Willing to travel up to 50%. PREFERRED: * Ability to identify, negotiate and manage appropriate contract types to support customer needs and mitigate internal risk. * Advance skills using Microsoft Projects and other software packages tools required to effectively communicate with customers, vendors and internal communication/reporting MINIMUM: * Strong communication skills.
