Technical & Project Management

• In-depth knowledge of upstream oil & gas exploration, field development, operations & maintenance and asset integrity.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian regulatory environment and local content laws (e.g., NOGICD Act).
• Ability to interpret and apply industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.) in engineering and operational design.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

• Demonstrated success in managing community relations in sensitive environments, particularly the Niger Delta.
• Excellent negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills.
• Track record of obtaining government/regulatory approvals in complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

Leadership & Organizational Competence

• Exceptional leadership, team-building, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to evolving project dynamics, and manage competing priorities.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to optimize costs while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor& 39;s degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• A Master& 39;s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in the upstream oil & gas industry with at least 7 years in a senior project leadership role.
• Proven experience delivering major brownfield, well intervention, or facility rehabilitation projects in Nigeria or similar environments.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., COREN, SPE, PMI, NSE) is preferred.
• Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable
