Overview Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is looking for a mid-level Pressure Systems Engineer to be part of the Worker Safety and Heath group’s Safety Engineering Team. In this role you will support the diverse needs of our research partners that are developing new solutions for some of the world’s greatest science and technology challenges. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering expertise in the safe and compliant design and deployment of unique pressure systems. This position applies engineering knowledge and methods to accomplish mechanical engineering work in support of research and development. The role’s direct collaborative interface with scientific projects creates an opportunity for career growth across a broad range of disciplines. Support laboratory research staff in the design and installation of pressure systems. Support the development and implementation of the pressure safety program. Analyze research projects and recommend controls or design changes to mitigate hazards. Support ongoing operations and maintenance of systems in the pressure safety program.
