Description
The Preconstruction Project Manager will work cross functionally with multiple municipalities, architects, contractors, internal construction manager and other stakeholders as necessary. The Preconstruction Project Manager will be responsible for managing important project deliverables to ensure the entire team is successful in delivering on time and on budget. Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop project scope, budget and schedule for veterinary facility build-out projects. Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Develop and maintain project schedules, including milestones and timelines, to ensure timely completion of projects. Identify, select and manage potential General Contractor vendors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction projects meet industry standards and client expectations. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, required Proven experience in preconstruction project management, preferably in the veterinary or healthcare construction sector. Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes and regulations. Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, permitting and resource management. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
